The inspiration for this original oil painting comes from my hike to Tokopah Falls in Sequoia National Park. Along the hiking path, a small side trail leads into the forest and downslope to a gentle creek with crystal clear water. The sun was shining, a gentle breeze was blowing, and birds were singing - it was paradise on this mid summer day in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
